Information I collect and how I use it

Cellphedia is a service that promotes the sharing of knowledge. It turns the usually isolated action of reference search to a convenient and exciting social event. I am hard at work getting that right and feel that it's important that Cellphedia's users understand how the personal information they provide is treated.

  • To use the Cellphedia service, you must register for an account on the related website (www.cellphedia.com) and provide some limited personal information including your name, email address, username, password and mobile phone information. You can update or eliminate this profile at any time.
  • All the information you have entered in your online profile is kept confidential and is absolutely not sold or exposed to anyone. The only exposed information is your user-name which is displayed on the "c-knoledge" page on www.cellphedia.com if you have answered a question. Your user-name is also displayed in an SMS message to the user whose question you've answered.
  • Using the SMS features on your mobile phone, you can send any type question to the appropriate group, which you have joined through your profile. For a list of available groups go to the "how to.." page on www.cellphedia.com. Cellphedia recognizes you by your mobile phone number and logs the information you send on our servers. To learn more about the messaging features and how to turn off messages, please see the "how to.." page.
  • From time to time, I may send you service messages by E-mail to notify you of changes to Cellphedia. You can opt out by changing the settings in your profile at www.cellphedia.com.
